Who We Are
Dr. Todd Winzer, DVM
Veterinarian, Owner
Born and raised in Eastern Washington, Dr. Todd grew up in Coulee Dam. He spent his childhood at his dad's vet clinic, Grand Coulee Veterinary Clinic and riding along with Dr. Dave on farm calls. He knew at a young age that he wanted to work with animals.
Dr. Todd joined the Army National Guard at age 17. When he returned from boot camp he attended Eastern Washington University. After a couple years there, he decided to head down the veterinary track. This is when he became a COUG!
He deployed to Iraq in 2009, got married to Erica in 2010, and started Vet School in 2012. He had a daughter, Willa, in 2014, a son, Royal, in 2015, and graduated from WSU Veterinarian School in 2016.
The day after graduation, Dr. Todd and his family moved to Webster, South Dakota where he worked as an Associate Vet in a thriving mixed animal practice. After baby three, Mabel, came in 2017 they decided it was time to get back to their home state (and grandparents...).
Dr. Todd always wanted to own his own clinic so in August 2019 he and his wife, Erica, opened the doors to Wheatland Veterinary Clinic.
In his free time, he likes to play with his kids, work on our office building (which was an old dental clinic that we are updating), hunt, fish, play volleyball, and get out in the outdoors with their trusty King Charles Cavalier, Hick.
Dr. Peyton Curtis, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Peyton Curtis grew up on her family’s cattle ranch in Ritzville, Washington. She graduated from Lind-Ritzville High School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She recently achieved her lifelong goal of becoming a veterinarian, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University in May 2026.
When she's not at the clinic, you'll find her running her boxed beef business, The Herd, traveling to new places, or spending time back on the ranch with her horses and family. Dr. Peyton is excited to come back to the area she was raised in to provide care for the animals in our community.
Erica Winzer
Office Manager
Erica was raised in Kennewick, WA. She graduated from WSU in 2009 with a Finance Degree. She worked as a receptionist and did medical billing in Pullman until she and Dr. Todd started a family.
Erica splits her time helping run the business and manage their household as master chef, chauffer, volleyball coach, and all the other hats she wears.
Heather Quandt
Receptionist
Heather was born and raised in Alaska and moved to Washington State with her husband and 2 children in 2013.
Heather has been a Veterinary Receptionist for 10 years and enjoys every bit of what she does.
Heather loves spending time with her family and 5 dogs: Foxy, Kimber, Sir Winchester, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton & cat Tink. She also has 15 chickens, 2 roosters & 6 goats.
Katie Bageant
Vet Assistant
Katie was born and raised in Davenport, Washington, where a life centered around horses, livestock, and the western lifestyle shaped who she is today.
She and her husband, Eddie, own and operate Rocking EK Ranch, Arena & Supply, raising quality horses and mules for years while remaining deeply involved in the rodeo community.
Having spent her entire life around animals, Katie is passionate about helping them and the people who care for them.
Now proud empty nesters, Katie and Eddie are enjoying watching their daughters, Hailey and Elly, pursue their own dreams while continuing to invest in their ranch, business, and the western way of life.
Laurel Victor
Kennel Assistant
Laurel just joined us this summer and has been a great addition to the team.
She graduated high school from Christian Heritage.
Ashley Smith
Vet Tech
Ashley was born and raised on the family farm near Odessa. She graduated from EWU in 2010 with a BS in biology. She graduated from YVCC as a veterinary Technician in 2012.
When she is not busy working, she is spending time working on the family cattle ranch. She also has many animals on the farm to keep her busy.
